Chicken Soup

1 chicken
salt & pepper
1 1/2 Cup noodles
1 - 2 T chopped onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 bay leaf

Wash chicken, cover with water.  Add 1/2 teaspoon salt per pound of chicken and pepper.  Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until tender about 1 1/2 hours.

Remove chicken from broth, bone and cut into chunks.  Skim fat from broth and measure into sauce pan (about 5 cups).  Add chicken and remaining ingredients.  Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer until noodles are tender, about 15 minutes.
